What is a 5C?
It began when the Board of Directors requested a charity run to raise funds and awareness for Pregnancy Helpline. The Development Director responded “I don’t run ~ I eat Chocolate!”
It was the beginning of a movement.
In the first year nearly 250 eager walkers signed up for the opportunity to walk for babies and chocolate.
Wonderful downtown businesses volunteered to serve as Chocolate Vendors. Walkers are issued 5 tickets to use as they wish to pick up yummy chocolate treats at the vendor of their choice.
The merchants/vendors benefit when 350 people walk through their store all for the price of a chocolate treat.
The 5C Walk brought our community together to benefit families in crisis and in need, providing mentoring, parenting education, diapers, food, formula, clothing and all the infant equipment needed.
The 5C walk is an opportunity to bring awareness to the human rights violation currently happening 3,700 times per day in our country. Abortion ends a life in a violent way – a life that has no choice, no voice.
We as members of the majority must stand up for those whose lives are ended because they are weaker, whether they are elderly, ill, different from the majority, or just really tiny.
Death is not a choice; it is an end.
